The Steel Block Bandits & the Steel Block Mafia will be a part of the World of Outlaw Late Models – Racefest World Championship Weekend at West Virginia Motor Speedway on May 29th.
The Bandits have teamed up again with the Steel Block Mafia at West Virginia Motor Speedway for a $2500 to win - $250 to start 30 lap feature on May 29th. Once again we are offering no entry fee to the steel block drivers.
“Just when you think things can’t get any better,” series promoter Danny Wilson “To have an event with the World of Outlaw Late Models is something that will put us on the map. I have tracks calling us everyday looking into our series. I am currently awaiting final approval on several more dates.”
On the weekend of May 29th and 30th the World of Outlaw Late Models will be competing in the Racefest World Championship. The Bandits/Mafia will be racing May 29th for $2500 to win.

Hillbilly 50 - Bandits & Mafia Team-up

Steel Block Bandit race fans, its official. The 2010 Hillbilly 50 at West Virginia Motor Speedway will be sanctioned by the Steel Block Bandits and the Steel Block Mafia. This $5000 to win $300 to start event will have no entry fee to the drivers. This is not a typo, $5000 to win, no entry free & it’s only a one-day show.
On September the 4th drivers and their race teams will travel to Mineral Wells, West Virginia to see if they can claim the Hillbilly 50 $5000 to win event. This 5/8 mile, semi banked track will keep the drivers up on the wheel and the fans on the edge of their seats. You will see drivers from WV, OH, VA, MD, PA and beyond.
West Virginia Motor Speedway promoter Brian Ferrell, “We are excited about this partnership with both the Bandits and Mafia. This will be one of our biggest events of the year. We are looking forward to this most anticipated battle.”
“This is huge! Two $5000 to win events in only our second season”, series promoter Danny Wilson. Danny went on to say, “With tracks believing in our product, we can only grow. Tracks that have missed out or have passed us by in 2010 will come around. I respect all promoters and wish them the best in 2010 with or without the Bandits.”
